Oak Hill dentist Dr. Farshad Bakhtyari grew up in Boston, Massachusetts where he lived with his parents and three siblings. After elementary school, his family moved to Newton, a suburb west of Boston. He continued his Middle and High School education in Newton and obtained his Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Physiology from Boston University. Dr. Bakhtyari continued his academic pursuits and earned his D.M.D., graduating Magna Cum Laude from Boston University in 2002.

Upon receiving his D.M.D., Dr. Bakhtyari completed a one-year advanced residency at Boston University with an emphasis on Fixed Prosthodontics and Endodontic Therapy. The Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency trained Dr. Bakhtyari to be exceptionally proficient and skilled in all aspects of dentistry, including all kinds of Cosmetic Dentistry procedures. Dr. Bakhtyari then worked as an associate dentist in two practices in the Boston area, treating patients with gentle care and respect.

Dr. Bakhtyari was married in 2008 and moved to the Northern Virginia area so he and his wife could be closer to her family and began his dental practice in Oak Hill.

His proficiency in Endodontic Therapy (Root Canals) has cured toothaches and saved many teeth in his practice. His highly-trained skills in cosmetic dentistry have improved the smiles and lives of many people throughout his years of practice. In his professional capacity, he treats children, adults, and seniors with any dental and oral health needs including White Bonding Fillings, Crowns, Veneers, Bridges, Implants, Root Canal Therapy, Periodontal Therapy (gum therapy), Bleaching (teeth whitening), Dentures, and Orthodontic Therapy (Invisalign braces). Throughout the years, Dr. Bakhtyari has consistently proven to his patients that he is an understanding, caring, and patient dentist offering them virtually-pain-free care. He listens carefully to each patient's personal needs and focuses on oral care and treatments that go well beyond just the teeth.

Dr. Bakhtyari and his wife reside in Vienna and enjoy spending their free time with their newborn son, going to the gym, dining out, watching movies, and traveling.
