Porcelain Inlays

A porcelain inlay is a dental restoration technique used to restore and repair rear teeth that have a mild to moderate amount of decay. Porcelain inlays, unlike those made of metal or gold, are popular today due to the fact that they resemble natural teeth.

All porcelain inlays at Premier Dental Care are custom-made to fit the specific dental restoration needs of the patient and crafted from tooth-colored porcelain. Porcelain inlays are commonly used to repair teeth that suffer from defective prior dental work or that have been negatively impacted by decay or other trauma.

The porcelain inlay process typically requires a couple of visits to Dr. Bakhtyari. Some of the reasons that Premier Dental Care patients seek porcelain inlays include fractured or broken teeth, decayed teeth, large fillings, and cosmetic enhancements. In the end, your porcelain inlays are custom-crafted by a dental laboratory and the resulting inlays are permanently fixed to the tooth by Dr. Bakhtyari in a process that is quick and painless.

As with any dental fixative, porcelain inlays are not indelible and may require replacement at some future date. Porcelain inlays are durable and will last you many years. Regular brushing, flossing and dental visits will add life to your teeth and any dental restorations – giving you a beautiful, long-lasting smile you can show to everyone!
