It’s summertime, it’s hot and you’ve been looking forward to treating yourself to your favorite ice cream all week long. You go to your favorite ice cream shop at Reston Town Center and order two scoops, one with chocolate and the other with coffee. Yum! Often times I have patients come to the practice with complaints about occasional sore jaw to chronic teeth grinding. Bruxism, the medical name for teeth grinding, is a common habitual activity – often diagnosed as a sleep disorder – that is characterized by clenching the jaw and grinding your teeth.
